Project Statement :To design a convenient toilet seat that can measure and display a person's weight accurately, having a user-friendly control panel that is easy to operate.
Primary Objective : To design a toilet seat that can measure the users' weight and display on a screen.
Secondary Objective : To create a product that is marketable and would appeal to the public.
Constraints :
1. Cost of product
- The product must be built within the budget of RM250. Strain gauge sensors which are most commonly used in electronics scale are costly about RM 20++ each.
- The product can only be used by users who are able to sit on the toilet without the need of external support.
- This product cannot be used by small kids who cannot sit exactly in the middle of the seat in which cannot cause a balanced pressure for the sensors under the seat.
1. Able to measure weight and display.
2. A product that enables user input .
3. Able to calculate users' BMI and display.
Design specifications :
1. Measure the weight between 0 - 150 kg.
2. The height that be input for measuring BMI is bewteen 0 - 999 cm.
